Fishguard Spaghetti Western Film Festival. To some they are the coolest genre of movies ever. Iconic, stylish and hugely influential with memorable soundtracks; but also cheesy, sometimes poorly made and occasionally downright ridiculous plots and characters. - Go To Our Home Page

Theatr Gwaun has existed as an Arts and Culture venue for over 130 years. The Temperance Hall was built by the community of Fishguard in 1878 and provided ‘music hall’ entertainment without the sale of ‘intoxicating beverages’. This became ‘The Palace’ cinema in the 1920’s and today Theatr Gwaun is a multi-use venue hosting film, theatre, comedy and live music.  Theatr Gwaun Community Trust took over the running of the venue from Pembrokeshire County Council in 2011 and venue is run almost entirely by volunteers from the local community. Prohibition has ended.

Fishguard, and the neighbouring village of Goodwick, are now best known as the ferry port that links south Wales to Ireland. Split into two towns the main part of Fishguard is perched upon an impressive headland while the Lower Town, or Y Cwm in Welsh, was the original harbour and retains its old charm. There are Spectacular walks in both directions from the town along the famous Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.

Once one of the remotest corners of Wales, Fishguard now boasts good road and rail links with Cardiff. You can stay in one of many cosy B&Bs and mooch around several traditional pubs, one of which – The Royal Oak - was chosen for the French to sign surrender terms after their last invasion of Britain in 1797.
